Collection of Personal Information
Every time you log on to our website your IP (Internet Protocol) address registers on our servers. Your IP address reveals no information other than the number assigned to you. We do not use this technology to get any personal data against your knowledge or free will. Nor do we use it for any purpose other than to help us measure traffic on our website, ie. what country you are from, how you arrived at our site, what pages you viewed and how much time you spent on our site. All this information is anonymous so we don’t know who you are.
Handling of Personal Information
Our primary intention for collecting personal information is simply to help us conduct our business more effectively and to improve our website. We can use this information internally to help us better understand our overall user base – what parts of our website are doing well, and also importantly, what parts are not doing so well. Like most other websites, we use this information to make our site better.
Of course, if you have subscribed to our email list to receive email updates and/or special offers, then your personal information is stored with third party service providers, as they provide services that are industry-leading in quality and security and are far more beneficial to our end user than attempting such services “in-house.” However, you are never required to deal with any such third party directly, they are limited in how they use your information, and they cannot sell or transfer it to others in any way. Furthermore, we will never give away, trade or sell your email address, and you can unsubscribe from our email list at any time.
Although we are staunch privacy advocates, we may be forced to abandon these ideals. Just as major search engines face ongoing compulsion to provide data against their will, so too may the same occur with our website. Illegal activity or other serious acts or allegations could create legal liability for our website. In those cases, we reserve the right to share your information, or we may simply be compelled to do so by law.
Links to Third Party Websites
We have included links to other websites, (a) some are to third party products or services that we promote as affiliates and we are compensated for any purchases made through our affiliate link, (b) some links are to third party ecommerce websites who handle the printing, shipping and customer support for all our t-shirt and other product designs, (c) other links are for additional information to content we publish ourselves, or links for additional reading to content snippets we may have shared on our site. These third party sites have their own independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
Special Note About Children
This site is not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under the age of 14, and we ask that children (under the age of 14) please do not register with any of our sites and do not submit any personal information to us. Children should always get permission from their parents or guardian before sending any information about themselves (such as their names, email addresses, and phone numbers) over the Internet. Parents and guardians should always monitor their children’s online activities and use parental control to supervise their children’s access to the Internet.
